Practice Overview

Every case is unique, and Dr. Pomerance takes an individual approach to each patient. He will meet with you to perform an evaluation, determine your options, and help you to arrive at the specific therapy, treatment, or surgery best suited to your condition. If surgery is advised, he will perform it and provide the follow-up care essential to recovery. Patient emergencies receive priority treatment, and Dr. Pomerance attempts to accommodate them immediately.

Dr. Pomerance begins by listening to the concerns of the patient and strives to ensure that he or she understands the problem and options for treatment. A mutual decision is then made, including input from the patient as well as the doctor. His personal approach means he will work with you directly from initial consultation, through surgery or treatment, to follow-up care.

Dr. Pomerance may restore your hand, wrist, elbow or shoulder to its normal function, or reconstruct it with various methods, including microvascular tissue transfer and surgical innovations. On a regular basis, he reviews research on topics related to treatment of the hand and upper extremities.
