Dr. Ivan Huergo MPT, DPT, MO, MTC, MATcs, doesn’t believe people need to suffer through the pain. Ivan wants his clients to feel empowered and by working together they can lessen the effect of aches and pains. His specialty is integrating several manual approaches into a tissue-specific framework differentiating Joint – Muscle – Nerve – Connective Tissue pathology.
Huergo’s unique perspective draws from scientifically validated physical therapy techniques and innovative, emerging manual approaches to create a customized plan for you to gain confidence, balance, and strength in daily movement.
Dr. Huergo traveled to Buenos Aires, Argentina for a European-based Master’s Program in Osteopathy through the (EOM) Escuela de Ostepatia de Madrid (Madrid School of Osteopathy). EOM passes on the osteopathic tradition while remaining constantly up to date with scientific and technical advances. EOM devotes an important part of its program to the structural osteopathic tradition, while also devoting special attention to areas of cranial and visceral osteopathy.
Dr. Huergo was an undefeated state wrestling champion in high school and earned a full athletic scholarship to the University of Oklahoma. He also served as a graduate assistant wrestling coach for Slippery Rock University in NCAA Division I and Lindenwood University in NAIA Division where he coached several All-Americans and national champions.
Dr. Huergo speaks fluent Spanish. He enjoys camping with his wife Lisa and their 3 children.
